best of 01-2011 | i heart faces

the theme this week over at 'iheartfaces.com' is the best photo of january- people's choice. it's so hard to narrow down what to choose, but i narrowed down to this one simply because of how it makes me feel. we have had one heck of a winter- crazy weather, mostly gloomy days and then just the other day there was a break in the weather and the temperature rose to sixty-six degrees, it was beautiful. I snapped this picture of my kiddo and it makes me feel like sweet spring is just around the corner, and boy am i ready for it. It kinda makes me think, 'american honey.'

The Referral Program

First things first, I want to say that I am so very thankful to all my loyal clientele who have been by my side from the very beginning and to all the new faces I met in two thousand ten. I am so very eager to discover what two thousand eleven has awaiting me and all the new opportunities to photograph new faces.

To show my deeply felt gratitude to all my loyals and the newbies of two thousand ten I am offering to you a "referral program"- (I guess you could say). You know those things where if you refer a friend to your t.v. provider they give you a credit on your bill?!? Well, that's what I’m talking about! So here's how it works:

*Of course, refer a friend to me for a session. Your friendly referral will (hopefully) book a session with b.L.c Photography (at regular session pricing). If and when that does happen YOU will receive a $10.00 credit on your next session with b.L.c Photography, the more referrals and new sessions the more credits for you, now isn't that just lovely?!? Well, you deserve it!!

*A couple things must happen in order to make those credits happen:
1. They have to mention your name- that you referred them to me in order for 'credit to be given where credit is due.'
2. They have to schedule and KEEP their appointment with b.L.c Photography.

That’s all you got(s) to do. Of course you will have to schedule a session yourself to actually get the credit. The credit does not expire and can be used at any time, a max of 2 credits equaling a total of $20.00 is the max amount that can be used at one time. Credits are unfortunately not redeemable for cash, SO SORRY! Feel free to contact me with any questions that you may have at: blcphotography@yahoo.com.

So go on, take advantage of my little token of devotion and appreciation and again, thanks so much for all the past, present and future business, it is very much appreciated.

Innocent Wonder | iheartfaces

The theme this week at iheartfaces.com is "innocent wonder." I chose this portrait of my kiddo because not only does so much of it capture who he is and his loves but, to me, it captures just that of "innocent wonder!" It's amazing to watch as the simplest acts amuse a child, dunking his truck in the water and picking it up to watch the water run off over and over again...wondering quite possibly why the water falls like that, in such a way creating innocent little 'raindrops.' Wondering what it would be like to actually be driving this truck, jumping it in and out of huge puddles, splashing water everywhere. The white slate, the contrasts of the colors, the simple fact that it was taken in the bath, the sweetness, the purity of his little body all capture that of innocence. At this age everything is a new adventure, something new to learn, a world of discoveries awaiting. Something as small as watching the water drip off the bottom of his truck is an exciting feit- something to wonder about and ponder on. Wonder and amazement are captured right there in that litte face of his.
